Our summer movie season has ended and we are pleased to share that we have ANOTHER first time winner of the SMP! 27 years of this pool and we’ve had 19 unique winners. This time it’s SEAGAN N. that takes home the top prize by being the best in deviation (by 8 points) among those with 9 correct picks. Backrooms was the pivotal movie this summer, as only 5 players (including our top 3) selected the $197M hit. Seagan was also best by also having more faith in The Devil Wears Prada 2 than any other contender. Congrats Seagan, for taking the $250 top prize!
It’s family affair in SMP 2026 as 2nd Place goes to JUSTIN K. Also a finalist with 9 correct picks, Justin’s ultimate downfall was putting too much trust into Supergirl for a 9-point hit. Justin was a SMP winner back in 2008, as well as a two-time 3rd Place finisher. This is his first time taking 2nd, good for $50.
Finishing just 2 more points behind in deviation is our 3rd Place winner, LOGAN N. Logan placed for the first time in the SMP by also being wise enough to pick Backrooms, but that 5-point hit for Prada 2 definitely hurt as compared to the other contenders. Congrats on taking $20 more than the rest of us.
And let’s not forget ED A. as the winner of our Bonehead Award for his mid-June selection of The Furious ($6.5M). Ed also took the Bonehead back in 2018, so he’s definitely got this $10 prize figured out.

First I’d like to thank everyone who played this year allowing for a nice juicy pot, secondly, I’d like to thank Justin for copying my top ten cause he lazed out and listened to me talk about Backrooms for an hour and the fascinating history that led to a feature film but then denies I influenced his list, and lastly I’d like to give JP a shout out for not sharing his disastrous picks with me and when I asked him what he thought about obsession he said, “never heard of it”, Here’s to the Summer Movie Pool for making my summer truly awesome!
