This is our final SMP weekend preview for 2022, and none of the new releases are projected to pull in more than $9M. Not even the lone remaining selection by one of our players, Samaritan, which might just earn the Bonehead Award for Justin Kane if it claims any box office.
The real drama in this final weekend is if Nope can earn just enough to move ahead of Lightyear for the #7 spot, which would heavily impact the Deviation Score of our leaders. As of Wednesday 8/24, Box Office Mojo lists Nope at $115.07M and Lightyear at $118.27M. 7 full days remain in the SMP.
