Ok, so the good news is that Karate Kid: Legends exceeded the weekend’s projection by 25%. Sounds great, right? Well… how about a weekend total of $20M? Ugh, what a tank job for the 17 of us that selected it. Despite strong Audience scores the numbers simply weren’t there as those Critics reviews were brutal. Being a family film with good word of mouth, perhaps its best days are ahead and it can finish in the 11-13 range. Yeahhh, that’s a lot to ask.

Next Weekend: After one disappointing weekend we may very well have another in From the World of John Wick: Ballerina (picked by 25 players), as recent tracking has slid down toward the $26-34M range. Not good.
