Only one Wide release this weekend, but boy it’s a winner! Pixar’s Inside Out 2 (picked by 41 players, including 11 having it at #1) is just what the summer needed with $100M+ projections all over the place and excellent reviews from both critics and audiences. Boxoffice Pro projects $85-115M. Box Office Theory projects $94-117M. BoxOfficeReport projects $119M. And The Numbers (always the last one to report so that they can monitor Friday’s progress) projects $121M. Even Deadline is now projecting $120-130M after a $56M Thurs/Fri opening. Good stuff indeed.
