Four new Wide Releases come out this weekend, two of which matter to folks here. The biggie is the live action remake of How To Train Your Dragon (selected by 42 players), staring at a $73M opening on the strength of a whopping 4,300+ theaters and a very impressive 98% RT Audience Score. The critics don’t like it as much as the 2010 original (76% vs an incredible 99%), but the audience seems to enjoy this one more. Will be interesting to see how it holds up box office-wise to its predecessors, as it’s tracking to make as much as all of the other movies combined this weekend. Perfectly timing this release with the Isle of Berk opening at Universal Epic Universe is brilliant.
